17th Street Art Festival

I have to say that this was the hottest Art Show that I have ever been in. The temperature reached 105 and it felt like 113. I brought all of my stay cool tools and I guess they worked as I was able to make it through. The only thing is that in less than five minutes after spraying myself with my little fan I felt hot again. There was quite a breeze which was a good thing and a bad thing. Good because it cooled you down a little and bad because peoples art and tents were blowing all over the place.

The show was a little slower than in previous years but I'm happy/sad to say that I sold my Ocean Wave. The woman was here on vacation from Kentucky. Now I fell that I need to paint another!
Well now I need to start getting ready for my next Art Show. I just hope the temperature is in the 80's. Wishful thinking?

Congratulations again!! what nice sweet agony :) btw -- I had not known what a buckeye was until I saw your painting --textures are always a fun challenge -aren't they?

It is so much fun doing textures. The Buckeye started as a demo for one of my classes. It's funny how things turn out.
